QUIET HOURS

A clearer picture of your night.

Quiet Hours estimates when your room gets loud, without recording what anyone says. The live meter is free. Quiet Hours Pro adds overnight monitoring, saved timelines and PDF reports.

Getting started

  1. Try the Meter tab and allow microphone access when you start.
  2. In Night, choose a threshold and your quiet hours. Incidents are sustained crossings of that threshold inside the selected window.
  3. Plug in your phone, keep the microphone uncovered, and start your night before locking the screen.
  4. Tap Finish night in the morning to see your recap, including incidents and monitoring gaps.

Microphone or monitoring problems

Enable microphone access for Quiet Hours in iPhone Settings. Calls, Siri, alarms and audio route changes can pause monitoring. The app attempts to resume, and records coverage gaps. Keep the phone in the same place when comparing nights. White noise and other audio you play also contribute to its readings.

Subscriptions

Quiet Hours Pro offers monthly and yearly subscriptions. Check the app for your local price. Use Restore purchases in Help if you already subscribed. You can always view or delete your saved nights after Pro ends.

Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Your data

Sound levels, frequency information and timestamps are saved locally. No audio recordings are saved or uploaded. Delete completed nights in History; shared copies and device backups are managed separately.

Measurement limits

Your phone is not a calibrated sound meter. Levels are estimates, useful for observing changes in noise. They do not establish a legal violation, identify who made a sound, measure sleep stages, or diagnose a medical condition.
